GLOBAL BEATS is Pittsburgh’s entity of world music and multiculturalism, featuring lounge and dance music from countries around the world. This upbeat, grass-roots movement features traditional and underground hot blends of world dance and lounge rhythms. The constant fusion of beats creates a wide spectrum of music introducing the audience to one unique night of entertainment and international ambiance.
Working with various ethnic communities, organizations, corporations and music groups, Global Beats is dedicated to the livelihood of world music and the exchange of culture by creating special theme nights such as: Brazilian Carnaval, Island Breeze, Gypsy Spirits, Colombian Fiesta, Afro-Latin Explosion, Global House, Ayoba Night and a 2010 FIFA World Cup Weekend Celebration. On special occasions we bring live world music.
